H.I.S House provides transitional shelter to families and individuals who are homeless but have the motivation and capability with assistance, to regain self-sufficiency. Residents stay up to 4 to 6 months while they develop a source of permanent income and save money for housing.
H.I.S. House offers a home-like environment where residents can sleep in a private bed, prepare meals, do laundry, read or do homework, receive mail, make and receive phone calls all while looking for employment. H.I.S House residents have access to a computer and fax machine to assist with their job search. H.I.S House provides weekly case management meetings, assistance with counseling, employment guidance, child care and classes in finance and other life skills.
Volunteers meet with residents on a regular basis to help them work towards their goals.
Due to limited space interviews for residency are only offered when we have a vacancy.
Please call the H.I.S House office at (714) 993-5774 on Monday’s to check for room availability.
